H.E. Avv. Ahmed Isse Gutale, LLB, LLM, CertIA , Public Sector Audit and Governance

H.E. Ahmed Isse Gutale (Attorney-at-law) serves as the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia, entrusted with the mandate to ensure accountability and transparency in the utilization of Somalia’s public resources in accordance with the Law of the Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia (Law No. 14, of 10 September 2023).

With over a decade of experience in Corporate Law, Mr. Gutale specializes in compliance with financial laws, including Tax, Corporate, Constitutional, and Commercial Law. Similarly, he served as a Financial Law Advisor for various institutions. In this capacity, he offered expert guidance on financial laws and compliance, highlighting his commitment to the responsible management of public resources.

Mr. Gutale’s extensive advisory roles with ministries and prime ministers uniquely position him to understand the complexities of financial and constitutional laws, enriching his oversight capabilities as Auditor General.

He prioritizes enhanced collaboration with anti-corruption institutions to ensure compliance with public financial management laws and fostering greater transparency in the use of public resources, thereby contributing to enhanced public service delivery.
