IS auditing is a critical element of the mandate entrusted to the Office of the Auditor General of Somalia, aimed at evaluating the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of the government’s information systems. This process involves the assessment of controls, data integrity, and the implementation of safeguards to protect sensitive information. The scope of IS auditing encompasses various aspects, including network security, data management, safeguarding citizen information, and the utilization of IS audit tools. These efforts are essential in enhancing the overall security and instilling trust in government e-services.
