Office of the Auditor General of Somalia (OAGS) has hosted its 3rd Annual Stakeholder Engagement Meeting with the attendance of Federal Member States Auditor Generals.

The meeting, which was held virtually this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was presided over by the Auditor General of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Mohamoud Ali.

A host of issues were discussed during the day-long meeting, including the sharing of best practices, assessing key challenges faced during the presiding year, and exploring areas for future cooperation between the OAGs at federal and state levels.

In a brief introductory remark during the opening session, AG Mohamed Ali has thanked the Auditor Generals at the state level for their close cooperation with the OAGS. He also mentioned that “The OAGS is currently working on adding specific objectives under the proposed Extended Strategic Plan 2021-22 to be affected next year to enhance support and collaboration with the FMS Auditor Generals”.
