SAI Somalia has reached a major institutional milestone following its admission as a new member of the INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee, CBC.
The CBC announced the development on 15 July 2026, following the Steering Committee meeting held virtually on 24 and 25 June 2026. During the meeting, the Steering Committee welcomed SAI Somalia as a new CBC member, expanding the Committee’s global network and strengthening collaboration across the INTOSAI community.
Membership in the CBC strengthens SAI Somalia’s participation in INTOSAI’s global capacity-development network. The new role also provides a platform for SAI Somalia to contribute institutional experience, exchange knowledge with other Supreme Audit Institutions, and support the implementation of Goal 2 of the INTOSAI Strategic Plan.
SAI Somalia expresses its sincere appreciation to the CBC Steering Committee and its members for their confidence and warm welcome. The Office values this opportunity to work closely with CBC members and contribute to shared priorities focused on stronger institutions, professional development, and effective public-sector auditing.
SAI Somalia also congratulates Riksrevisjonen, SAI Norway, on assuming leadership of the IntoSAINT workstream. The Steering Committee welcomed SAI Norway into this role during the same meeting.
SAI Somalia looks forward to active participation in the Committee’s work and to supporting collective efforts aimed at strengthening the capacity, performance, and impact of Supreme Audit Institutions worldwide.
