Audit Communication Process

At the Office of the Auditor General of Somalia, we work closely with institutions to ensure the responsible management of public funds. Our audits are designed to promote good governance, focusing on improvement rather than punishment.

The process begins with a letter of engagement, followed by an entry meeting to define the scope and objectives of the audit. We maintain open communication throughout, ensuring that the institution is fully informed at every stage.

Once the audit is completed, we hold an exit meeting to present our findings and discuss any observations with the institution’s leadership. Afterward, a management letter is sent to the institution’s Accounting Officer, detailing recommendations for improvement.

The final audit report is signed by the Auditor General and submitted to the relevant authorities for further actions. Our goal is to help institutions correct any issues, improve their systems, and enhance public trust.
