Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, September 15-18, 2025: Senior staff from the Office of the Auditor General of Somalia (OAGS) participated in a high-level workshop program titled “The Role of the Government E-Procurement Platform in Procurement Governance”, held from 15–18 September 2025 at the Saudi Center for Financial Audit and Performance Oversight in Riyadh.
The program, organized in collaboration with the National Center for Government Resource Systems, explored the impact of digital transformation on procurement, budgeting, revenue collection, data management, legal frameworks, and governance tools.
As part of the sessions, the senior officials from the OAGS delivered a presentation showcasing progress in Somalia’s procurement reforms and the role of OAGS in driving transparency and accountability across government institutions. “Somalia is committed to advancing good governance practices through modern and transparent procurement systems,” said a senior OAGS official.
The closing session was chaired by Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari, President of the Saudi General Court of Audit, who underscored the significance of the program in highlighting Saudi Arabia’s leadership in e-procurement and governance reforms.
The workshop also reinforced cooperation and knowledge-sharing among member institutions of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI).
