OAGS Holds Meeting with International Development Partners

Mogadishu, Somalia, November 19, 2025: The Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Isse Gutale, chaired the International Development Partners Meeting of the Office of the Auditor General of Somalia (OAGS), held virtually. The meeting brought together the two Deputy Auditors General, Directors, and Special Assistants from OAGS leadership.

The Auditor General presented the Office’s 2025 progress report, highlighting key achievements, the major challenges encountered, and the strategic priorities set for 2026. Department Directors and Assistants also delivered concise updates on institutional performance, ongoing cooperation with the Federal Member States’ Offices of the Auditor General, and current support policies, including strategic priorities and remaining capacity needs.

Development Partners expressed their appreciation for OAGS’s continued commitment to support and maintain operational continuity during challenging moments. They also conveyed strong support for the progress and perspectives shared throughout the session.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks from Deputy Auditor General Mukhtar Mohamed Abukar, who thanked all participants and commended the team involved in preparing the reports and presentations.
