Mogadishu, Somalia – July 11, 2024: Auditor General Ahmed Isse Gutale has successfully concluded a comprehensive five-day forensic audit training in Mogadishu. This intensive program, organized by INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and delivered by forensic experts from the Office of the Auditor General of Uganda, was designed to enhance and strengthen the skills of Somalia’s forensic audit team.
The training aimed to equip participants with advanced techniques and methodologies essential for improving audit effectiveness, ensuring greater accountability, and promoting transparency within government financial operations. This initiative follows the recent disclosure by the Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia of the positive financial impact seen after conducting forensic audits in the country.
